Ewan McGregor Named Hollywood’s Most Overpaid Brit

Star Wars actor Ewan McGregor has been named one of Hollywood’s most overpaid stars.

Ewan, 38, earns back less in box office returns for his salary than anyone else except Will Ferrell.

Using a formula that compares salaries with the combined recent revenues of movies, Forbes calculated that Scottish actor Ewan only generates $3.75 for every dollar he’s paid.

Will Ferrell, who earns a reported $20m (£12.5m) per movie beat stiff opposition from Tom Cruise and Eddie Murphy to top the annual league of the ten performers who fall most short of justifying their exorbitant salaries.
