At The Movies: Synecdoche, New York

Plot: After his wife and child leave him, famous theatre director Caden (Hoffman) plunges himself into his work.
He is planning an autobiographical play, but spends years rehearsing and recasting the actors playing his family and friends.
Meanwhile, he struggles to maintain relationships with two younger women: Hazel (Morton) and Claire (Williams).
Verdict: This dark comedy is pretty entertaining, although you might start looking at your watch after an hour and half wondering how long until it’s finished.
Date Movie: Mmm, No I don’t think this would be a good choice.
