Chinese Village School – 20 Photos

The first thing that strikes you when you look at these images taken at a rural village school in China is the poor classroom conditions.

In fact, the word poor is an understatement, it’s more like dire poverty.

I find myself asking why did the Chinese government spend billions on the Olympics last year when they have schools that don’t even look good enough for farm animals?

For the villagers I’m sure they were proud of China’s Olympic spectacular after being force fed the county’s endless patriotic propaganda and perhaps never gave it a second thought that money could have been spent on providing their children with a better education.
