Ruins Of The Por-Bajin Fortress

The ruins of Por-bajin fortress are located on an island in Lake Tere-Hole, Tuva Republic, Siberia on the Russian border with Mongolia.

It was built with ten metre high walls in 750 A.D. on the order of the head of Uigur Eletmish Bilge-kagan. Inside the outer walls there was a labyrinth of buildings and passageways that resemble the Buddhist or Hindu mandola.
