Typhoon Ketsana Floods Hoi An Vietnam

Typhoon Ketsana hit Vietnam yesterday and has so far taken the lives of 85 people with almost 200,000 people fleeing their homes due to severe flooding in central provinces.

The ‘super typhoon’ has battered several countries in South East Asia cutting a destructive path across the Philippines before wreaking havoc in Vietnam then sweeping across Cambodia.

This gallery shows the flooded streets and devastion left in the wake of Typhoon Ketsana in the World Heritage town of Hoi An, Vietnam.

Local families and tourists were evacuated from their water filled homes and hotels, whilst others climbed for cover to escape the flooding.

There’s also several images from the submerged city of Dien Nam in the central province of Quang Nam.
