Photo Special: Bloodshed On The Steets Of Urumqi, China

When riots broke out in Urumqi, the capital of China’s Xinjiang province, on July 5th I published some of the images the Chinese authorities were trying to block from being spread across the internet.

One week on and the unrest continues with the ‘official’ death toll standing at 154. However unofficial sources put the number killed at the hands of the Chinese Army far higher with reports suggesting thousands of casualties.

This gallery brings another twenty horrific scenes of the carnage taking place and contains graphic images of the injured and dead that some may find offensive.
