Ramadan Ends, Eid al-Fitr Begins

The new moon was been spotted at the weekend which marks the end of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.

With the end of Ramadan comes the day long celebration of Eid al-Fitr, sometimes known as small Eid.

The faithful began the holiday on Saturday, Sunday or Monday, depending on their sect and this gallery takes us to Bahrain, Sri Lanka, Somalia, Indonesia, Bosnia, India and Egypt, amongst others, to show the prayers and celebrations.
