Mumbai Flooded After Monsoon (12 Photos)

In Mumbai heavy monsoon rains caused flooding, delaying commuter trains and causing massive traffic jams.

People tried to wade their way to work through the flooded streets whilst others sought refuge in bus shelters, hotels and shops.

Commuters even attempted to cross flooded rail tracks at a railway station in Mumbai – not that there were any trains running. Instead they were ferried around on open back trucks.

Even a disaster management vehicle got submerged in flood water after it went to inspect the water levels at an Indian Airlines compound.
