A teenage murderess has had a baby after sex sessions with another prisoner in a hotel while they were both on day release from their open jails.

Lisa Healey was 15 when she tortured and killed a lonely pensioner.
She was seduced by former public schoolboy Michael Dent at the jail where she is serving a life sentence and he was attending a Ministry of Justice forum on prison reform.

She continued to sleep with Dent, who was serving a four-year sentence for drugs offences, during weekend liaisons at a hotel.
Healey, now 26, gave birth last month and is bringing up her daughter in a mother-and-baby unit of her jail, Askham Grange in York, until her expected release in June.

Tory MP David Davies, a member of the home affairs select committee, said the case was a ‘ disgrace’ which undermined the fundamental principle that prison should be a deterrent.

What is going these days in prisons? We should be the same as America, life means life and none of this mucking about, what the hell do prisoners need day release for! I thought they were to be punished for a crime.
