Kids Meal off The Menu for Tall Kid

10 year old Ben Gardener and his parents finished their Chinese buffet meal and headed to the till to pay, and when they were presented with the bill Ben’s father questioned the high price and was shocked when staff told him that his son was too tall to qualify for a children’s meal.
Gareth Gardener (Ben’s Father) complained and then couldn’t believe his eyes when staff produced a tape measure and proceeded to measure his son, proving that he was 9cm over the restaurants 140cm height limit.
A spokesman for the Angel Chef Chinese restaurant in Gloucester said that they had started to charge adult price for minors over 140cm last year, but the final decision rests with the manager of the restaurant.
Gareth told the Daily Mirror that “It’s crazy. He is 10 and should qualify for a junior’s menu. It seems ludicrous they are going by height. He’s not that tall for his age”
I know everyone is trying to cut down on costs and maximise profit, but this seems a rather crazy step, I’m glad that the parents got this story into the press and maybe other greedy businesses will take more caution with stupid policies!.
