In Pictures: Booze Britain – A Night Out In Cardiff
This set of pictures were taken in and around Cardiff city centre on a Saturday night at closing time. As you can see everyone looks as if they’ve had a right skinful – including the women.
I wonder how busy the cells at the local nick were? I can only guess at full to bursting.
I suppose I should add that although the images were taken in Cardiff you’d see the same scenes in any town or city in the UK on a Friday or Saturday night at throwing out time.

Most cities have some corner where losers fight and puke – Take a look before you judge.
I live in New York City and 3 am the East Village is full of drunks and kids drugged up, the subways are sad/hilarious….awful.
Years of restrictive drinking laws have made Britain into a “Binge drinking” society – this will take time to change, but it will change.

I have witnessed scenes like those in the gallery first hand going back nearly twenty years here in the UK. No matter what laws they enforce, change or tinker with the end result never changes – loutish and anti-social behaviour regardless of closing times.
Sadly there seems no suggestion that things will change in the next twenty years. Just a sad reflection of everyday life in the UK.
