Horrifying Acid Attacks On Women
All twelve of the women in this gallery come from Pakistan and are the victims of horrifying acid attacks by men that have left them scarred for life, both physically and mentally.
They range from 16 to 39 years old and have all undergone plastic surgery upwards of 25 times to try rebuild their damaged bodies.
Half of them suffered at the hands of men whose marriage proposals they rejected. The next most common cause was family feuds and disputes.
However, the story that saddens me most is that of 16 year old Najaf Sultana, pictured above. At the age of five Najaf was burned by her father while she was sleeping, apparently because he didn’t want to have another girl in the family. As a result of the burning child became blind and after being abandoned by both her parents she now lives with relatives.
Utterly shameful.

I feel we should find a way to eigther force or coax our politicians and powers that govern us to change laws that protect these criminals come down so hard on them , hopefully becoming a deterrent, empowering woman etc
