Drunk Who Tried To Kick-out Plane’s Windows Jailed

A drunken passenger was tackled to the ground by holidaymakers on a flight after he began punching and kicking the plane’s windows at 32,000ft, a court heard.
Gareth Jackson downed 11 beers and a quarter of a litre of vodka before getting on board a Thomson holiday flight from Egypt to Cardiff.
The 34-year-old was jailed for eight months after he admitted being drunk on an aircraft and interfering with cabin crew in the performance of their duty.
Cardiff Crown Court heard that Jackson caused ‘near panic’ among the 230 passengers on the the five-and-a-half hour flight.
