DIY Botox kits, complete with needles and a facial map showing where to inject, is being sold on eBay for just £62.

The consumer watchdog Which? last night highlighted the offer amid concerns about lack of regulation of the sale of potentially harmful cosmetic treatments.

A search of eBay revealed a seller shipping Botox kits from the U.S., without a prescription, for $95 (£62).

The pack contained needles, saline to mix with the Botox powder – made from the toxic botulinum bacteria – and a facial map showing where to inject the drug.

Which? Computing magazine said it is dangerous to carry out such a procedure without medical expertise.

The report in the latest edition of the magazine says eBay removed the advert immediately after being alerted to the product.
