Photo Special: China Prepares For National Day Parade

China is preparing for a military parade in Beijing on 1 October to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the founding of Communist China.

If the latest pictures are anything to go by, it will be a spectacle to rival the Beijing Olympic Games opening ceremony.

The brains behind China’s 60th anniversary celebrations is Zhang Yimou – the same man responsible for the stunning opening and closing ceremonies of the Beijing Olympic Games.
