Survey Reveals Cheesy Chat Up Lines Actually Work

A survey conducted by onepoll.com found that six out of ten women like guys to use cheesy chat up lines.

The researchers claim it’s because it shows a bloke has a sense of humour.


I’m not buying any of this. You can bend and twist survey results too easily and there’s no telling what type of women they questioned.

Here’s two lists of chat up lines, one that apparently improves your chances of pulling whilst the other will see you sent packing.

10 Cheesy Chat Up Lines That DO Work



1. ‘Do you believe in love at first sight, or should I walk by again?’

2. ‘I have had a really bad day and it always makes me feel better to see a pretty girl smile. So, would you smile for me?’

3. ‘Apart from being beautiful, what do you do for a living?’

4. ‘Shall we talk or continue flirting from a distance?’

5. ‘I seem to have lost my number, can I have yours instead?’

6. ‘Hi, I just wanted to give you the satisfaction of turning me down; go ahead say no.’

7. ‘Is it hot in here or is it just you?’

8. ‘Do you mind if I stare at you up close instead of from across the room?’

9. ‘Did it hurt when you fell out of heaven?’

10. ‘There must be something wrong with my eyes, I can’t take them off you.’



10 Cheesy Chat Up Lines That DON’T Work

2. ‘I guess you can kiss heaven goodbye. Because it has got to be a sin to look that good.’
