US President Barack Obama wins Nobel Peace Prize

U.S. President Barack Obama has been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize today.

The Norwegian Nobel Committee said today that Mr Obama has won the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize for ‘his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples’.

This is completely bizarre.

The prize worth 10 million Swedish crowns ($1.4 million) will be handed over in Oslo on December 10.
