This amazing gallery shows a man who had half his body amputated after being run over by a truck. Not only has he recovered but has went on to open his own supermarket called the Half Man-Half Price Store.

Peng Shuilin, 37, underwent a series of operations to re-route almost every major organ or system inside his body and at just 2ft 7ins tall he now gets around with a wheelchair.

It’s amazing to see his remarkable recovery and encouraging to hear he hasn’t lost his sense of humour.
