Photo Special: Seven Years Of War In Iraq

Seven Years Of War In Iraq

Friday March 20th 2010 marked the seventh anniversary of war in Iraq. On this day in 2003 the U.S. Air Force aircraft dropped the first bombs on Baghdad.

The word from powers that be was Saddam Hussein possessed weapons of mass destruction, which later turned out to be complete nonsense.

On May 1, 2003 President Bush announced the end of hostilities yet seven years later the country remains unsettled and at times seeming like it’s on the brink of civil war except for the foreign military presence.

This gallery of pictures takes us on a journey of seven years of conflict and all that war brings with it.
